As promised, that wonderful Wisteria at Exbury Gardens.
We are off to London for a couple of days. Sir Neville Marriner is celebrating his 90th birthday. He is conducting the Academy of St.Martin in the Fields, at St. Martin in the Fields tonight, and we have two tickets to this rather special moment.

DeleteDue to bad timing, we have only seen it in it's pruned state, or just before or after it's flowered. Like you, we love them.

ReplyDeleteThe Montreal Botanical Garden has a very old wisteria but bonsai! It is also wonderful to see it covered with blooms but the whole thing 3 foot tall by 4 foot wide if I remember well.

DeleteI'm glad you like the Wisteria, it's quite unusual in it's immensity, and rather delightful to sit under. The concert was quite emotional, and apart from speaking to Sir Neville himself, we even met a couple from the states who were almost floating in the air with excitement.
