Valentines Day

When I first started to get to know Amanda, one of the first, and most amazingly beautiful scenes to capture my imagination was a postcard on one of her walls. It was of Psyche being revived by Cupid with a kiss.

A relatively small marble sculpture, in a fairly small and tucked away room in the maze that is The Louvre in Paris. Some years later, on one of our many trips there, we both stood in front of them as we held hands.

You can almost feel her warm breath rising to meet him.

  2. One of my favorite statues also, and yes, for marble it is unusual to feel any ' warmth', but it is there.
