Life can throw all sorts of difficulties and trials at us. My life at the moment?
A personal struggle, one challenge that MUST be overcome. The others are just the sort of crap that most are facing at the moment. Personal, financial, psychological, so many plates to spin.
We've been trying to future proof our home, and the main part to be worked on is, of course the garden. THE main room of any house. The house without a garden is like one without a front door. It's going to be quite a fundamental place for our "survival' this year.
Plants are so important, no, vital to our mental wellbeing. I thank God that He has blessed me with being a gardener. The benefits far outweigh the lack of money.
Hope you get your garden planned and planted. When you have photos of progress, maybe you can show them off here. Good luck with the work.
ReplyDeleteThanks Lynn. We have recently purchased a vintage glass washboard and a large stained glass window. Both to be in the garden and back lit. Cleaning the window as we speak
DeleteHi Gary,
ReplyDeleteI've been wondering when you might post again. Are you "future proofing" for age? What are doing to future proof?
I used to have a nice garden, very casual, with a big tree and under plantings but the big tree died and the replacement is taking a long time to get going so the extra light has allowed the whole area to turn into a weed bed. It upsets me every time I look at it but I'm not steady on my feet enough to fix it.
The advantage is, it attracts lots of bugs, especially pretty little blue dragon flies.
Hi Kylie. Yep, all about the age nowadays lol. Mainly replacing, fixing and treating all the timber in the garden, and planting all that we want to get the garden as a 'final finish'.
ReplyDeleteI know how tricky weeds can get when the ground finally gets light. Can someone help you with that?
