I promised to make Amanda a Pimms by way of an apology for my last post, and so set off to the allotment for some of the ingredients. We were going old school, and using Borage for the cucumber flavour and garnish, as neither of us are a fan of cucumber itself. Our plot is in there somewhere near the green shed in the background.
Strawberries and Borage were gathered, and on the way back I collected some oranges and ice from the local shop.
While on the allotment I also grabbed some Ruby Chard, Yellow Courgette, Beetroot, Black Mangetout and Tomatoes for an accompanying salad (Chard can be seen in the glass, with the Borage).
The ingredients were put together in the glass, along with some lemonade (Schweppes of course) and plenty of ice.
A rather attractive drink don't you think?
Chin chin!
It looks as if you got all your five a day in there.
ReplyDeleteI think there must be Adrian, as I feel much better after a couple of them.
DeleteI have no idea what Pimm's tastes like, but your drink with those ingredients looks delicious.

Good morning Lorraine,
DeleteIt's quite a unique taste, with a slight bitterness to it. Very summery.
What a beautiful drink !
ReplyDeletecheers, parsnip
A bit 'girly' I know, but very nice, especially in this hot weather we are having.
DeleteCompletely new drink to me. It's quite the presentation!
ReplyDeleteHi Sherlock,
DeleteIt's a kind of summer institution over here in the UK. One never watches Wimbledon without a Pimms and strawberries and cream.
Yum!!! Looks refreshing!
ReplyDeleteHi Melanie,
ReplyDeleteIt certainly was!
