I'm a gardener from Bournemouth, on the south coast of England. I love gardening, designing gardens, handling plants, and the smell of them. I find peace in walking barefoot on grass, and wild camping. I collect antique wine and liqueur glasses for a hobby, spend some of my spare time exploring the worlds most romantic and exciting cities, and listening to classical music, my favourite piece being Samuel Barber's 'Adagio for Strings'. I enjoy following other people blogs, especially when they involve gardeners on any level, from a single window box, to keepers of vast estates, and reading about their lives 'in between' everything horticultural. This blog is not only about my day to day gardening life, but also what I get up to in my free time, along with any thoughts, troubles and musings.
Sons of Gondor! Of Rohan! My brothers. I see in your eyes the same fear that would take the heart of me. A day may come when the courage of Men fails, when we forsake our friends and break all bonds of fellowship, but it is not this day. An hour of wolves and shattered shields when the Age of Men comes crashing down, but it is not this day! This day we fight! By all that you hold dear on this good earth, I bid you stand, Men of the West, for we have had tea, with a sugar in it!
