We are working on the borders behind the yellow bucket.
Remember back in those heady few weeks that we called summer? Waking up to blue skies, sunshine, and a work schedule that resembled something vaguely organised? We were drinking cold water throughout the day to stem the heat.
Being out all day, most days, our own garden became parched very quickly, and so Celia would take up position, armed with a hosepipe.
Celia 'armed'
It got colder, and the rains came, and don't appear to be letting up soon for any reasonable length of time. We had planned to go to the nursery to find some plants for a scheme we were working on later in the day, but got a little stranded. The rain didn't stop, and so the job was postponed and we had a latte at Haskins instead, before returning home to watch 'Fiddler on the Roof'.
It was a gorgeous day yesterday. A day filled with our favourite jobs, and all the people are nice. At our first job of the day we were met with this lovely note. 'The garden looks very happy'.....what a wonderful expression.
It is always great to receive a note of appreciation.
ReplyDeleteWe've been having quite a bit of rain here but no cold temps.
Have a lovely weekend ~ FlowerLady
