Personal Toys

As a gardener, I spend the majority of my life in clothing that is somewhat functional, and always dirty. My personal grooming is always lacking, as wind, soil, hedge trimmings, petrol and slug juice tend to drag me down somewhat. Fine dining is reduced to buying a copy of 'The Times' with a Spar sandwich and take away coffee. It's because of this that when I want to treat myself to a 'man toy', or some personal clothing, or grooming kit, I tend to push the boat out. To this end I would like to share a little of my 'personal' kit with you. Today it's a delightful present from Amanda, and the next post will be about my 'posh night out' kit.

I am now the proud owner of a Nespresso coffee machine. Sure, there is still the Italian percolator or the cafetiere, but this thing is sex on non-slip pads.
It is chrome and black, heavy, eco-friendly in virtually every way, makes a huge variety of excellent coffee instantly, and is simple to use. It's to go in the art studio when completed, so that I can have good coffee at the touch of a button. It makes me feel good every time I use it.

  1. That looks a mean machine. White, no sugar for me. Lovely mmm

  2. I love it Molly. A good choice by the way. I drink coffee in all sorts of ways, but black with sugar is my favourite.

  4. Just looking at the machine and knowing what it is going to do for you makes you feel good. I am sure you will enjoy it everyday and often everyday.

  6. I think I'll stick with my Cafetiere; it's quieter, and doesn't use electricity.

    1. I was born and raised on cafetieres, but this makes far better coffee, and in 25 seconds, which is what I am going to need in the studio.

    2. And as for 'only a coffee maker', well, I may take a while to forgive that one.
