What a wonderful day of celebration it was yesterday, to be at the marriage of As step brother to his wife. True to his nature, the groom turned up at the church in a very nice Ferrari 599 GTB, whilst the bride, looking stunning, came in a lovely white, open top Beauford.
The very old Wimborne Minster was a spectacular setting for the ceremony, and then it was off to the brides parents farmhouse for a champagne reception, followed by a meal and speeches etc in the marquee in the grounds. We were exhausted by about 8 pm, but for the stalwarts, a disco was provided until around 12 o' clock, and by all accounts some revellers had spent the night asleep in the garden and portaloos, and so I think a good time was had by all!
After a bit of a restless night, myself and A went first of all for a coffee and newspaper read at No33, a chic little cafe bar in Canford Cliffs, and then, having phoned to see if they were not only free, but indeed still alive after the antics of the wedding, we moved on to meet As father and his wife at The Haven Hotel, before returning home in the evening.......a rather nice weekend before the madness of the coming week......TTFN
